REFEREE
COURSE:
We
are always looking for soccer referees to work at Figtree Junior Soccer Club. If
you are interested in becoming a ref for the 2009 season here are a few things
to know.
1.
You must be 14 or over in 2009.
2.
We are looking for boys, girls & adults.
3.
You do not need to play soccer to become a referee.
4.
The training course only occurs once a year in February. The training involves
buying a CD which has all the laws of the game & some diagrams of offside
etc. There is a self paced workbook to fill in at home. You then sit an exam one
night in Feb. To referee in games you then need to attend several on field
training nights & there is an extra cost to do this. You are then appointed
to a ground & need to buy your uniform which includes whistle, flags &
cards.
5.
All the information will be on the website http://www.illawarrasoccerreferees.org.au/
or you can find it from google.
6.
It's a great way to stay fit, enjoy soccer, help out our club & it's a great
part time job.
TROPHIES:
This
year participation trophies will only be presented to players in age groups from
Under 6’s to Under 14’s.
For
15’s and over there will be 3 merit trophies & Medallions per team.
For
any further information please contact one of the club’s committee members
listed below.
