Figtree's U/10 Div 1 side have capped off an amazing year by making it to the Grand Final of the Football NSW Champions of Champions Tournament 2009. This is a fantastic achievement for a side playing their first year together as a graded team and remain undefeated this season.

The boys played last Sunday 18th October against Carss Park at Sth Granville. In another heartstopper, and for the second game in a row, the outcome was once again decided on penalties after the game was locked at 0 - 0 after normal time & golden goal extra time. Figtree once again prevailed 4p - 3p to advance to the Grand Final.

Their opponents will be Bondi United from the ESFA who defeated Forest/Killarney 3-0 in an impressive display. Figtree meet Bondi United this Sunday 25th Oct at Football NSW HQ at Valentine Park, Glenwood kick off at 10.30am in the decider to see who will be 2009 State Champions. The boys have displayed fantastic commitment, skill and above all a never say die attitude in every game.

They never give up and every player plays for the full 50 minutes and gives 110% no matter the score - most of all they are a great group of kids who have fun and love playing football together! Everyone involved with FJSC wishes the boys the best of luck next Sunday, and are sure that they will once again continue to display the determination and commitment that has made us all extremely proud of their achievements this year, and they will represent FJSC and the IJFA admirably.
